Do you prepare the base properly, or just lay pavers on the soil?
We build the base up properly every time. We excavate to the right depth, then layer and compact the sub-base and bedding so the paving carries the load and does not sink. Skipping the base is exactly why cheap paving fails within a season.
How long does a paving job take?
It depends on the size of the area and the amount of base work involved. A small patio can be done in a day or two, while a full driveway takes longer. We give you a realistic timeline with your quote before we start.
Can you fix sunken or cracked paving?
Yes. We lift the affected pavers, correct or rebuild the base underneath, and re-lay the area so it sits level and matches the surrounding paving. Repairing the base is what stops the same section sinking again.
Do you seal the paving afterwards?
We can seal the paving on request. Sealing helps lock the joints, resist stains and keep the colour looking fresh. We will let you know whether it is worth doing for your chosen paver and finish.
